Who can register?

Any person over the age of 18, managing an Internet site for personal use or on behalf of a commercial company, and accepting the General Conditions of Use can register, and can avail of Hi-media Performance's services. Notwithstanding the preceding, Hi-media Performance is entitled to refuse any registration attempts not in line with its positioning.

What are the acceptance criteria of the site?

Hi-media Performance does not accept sites which:

• do not have their own domain name.
• are incomplete in terms of form and/or content and/or personal page
• could be considered clan sites.
• are not professional in terms of their editorial content/form.
• feature frame and/or public advertising, imposed by the site host.
• contain erotic, pornographic, zoophilic or paedophilic content, or which propose or suggest prostitution or escort services.
• contain urological or scatological content, or which trade in, or encourage trading in, parts and/or products of the human body.
• are indecent or in breach of public order or law.
• are directly or indirectly offensive, defamatory, racist, xenophobic, homophobic or revisionist or damage the honour or reputation of others.
• incite the discrimination of or hatred for a person or group of persons based on their origin, sexual orientation, membership or non-membership of a given ethnic group, nation, race or religion.
• threaten a person or group of persons.
• degrade or attack human beings, their dignity or integrity.
• align too many banners.
• contain illegal content.
• incite the committing of an offence, crime or act of terrorism or justify war crimes or crimes against humanity.
• incite suicide.
• ask for public generosity or public donations.
• contain unauthorized online betting and/or gambling games.
• enable third parties to directly or indirectly download or otherwise obtain software applications that have been modified or distributed without authorization or license, or software serial numbers obtained without authorization, or software that could be used to attack computer systems or telecommunications systems or data-processing systems, viruses and other software bombs, and in a general matter any software or other product for which the user does not have the necessary licensing rights.
• could be used by third parties to directly or indirectly procure illegal products or substances
• could be considered confidential due to a legislative measure or legal ruling (including internal or classified information for disclosure would be considered insider trading or a breach of professional secrecy).

How to register?

Registration is done directly online from our website http://www.hi-mediaperformance.com. Becoming a member of the Hi-media Performance Affiliates network is free. Following validation of your registration, you can consult all affiliation programs on our network.

How can I determine the revenue on my account eligible for billing?

Simply go to the Invoicing rubric of your account; this is updated automatically after every transaction validated by the advertiser and contains a summary of transactions done.

Can I insert several advertising features on one page?

Yes you can; moreover, doing so will probably increase the transformation rate of your Internet site.

How does the Hi-media Performance platform count of the number of clicks?

Hi-media Performance uses the Comtrack adserver as the reference for all campaigns. All clicks are counted up to the maximum capping set for each campaign.

What is capping?

Capping is a process whereby we limit the number of advertising page impressions for a unique visitor. This procedure is used to define the number of times a given visitor sees an ad within a given time.

What is automatic management?

This is a way to run your campaigns on your ad placements. The campaigns of Optimized Rotation are ran through automatic management, which means that you entrust Hi-media with the management of your ad inventory.

What confidentiality guarantees does Hi-media Performance offer?

All nominative information remains completely confidential. Specifically, our databases have been declared to the CNIL (French Computerized Data Privacy Regulator) under the n° 1424394. Moreover, in accordance with the computerized data and personal privacy French law of 6 January 1978, every affiliate is entitled to access his account and modify his data.

Who should I contact if I have a technical problem?

To begin with, we suggest you take a look at the "Help & Support" rubric on our site. If you don't find your answer there, you can e-mail our technical service: contactperformancebe@hi-media.com.

Why are my clicks not being counted?

This can be due to a number of reasons:

• The campaign statistics given on the interface are not accurate.

Statistics are updated every 2 hours.

• In the case of a lead campaign, every lead has to be approved by the advertiser before displaying on your reporting interface.
• You incorrectly installed the tracking code of one or several placements; Check your installation.

If problems continue, contact us.

There are differences between my statistics and my invoice amount. Why?

This is due to the Hi-media Performance platform billing rule:

• A minimum invoicing threshold of €75.
• Invoices are paid 60 days end of month.
• A request to invoice can be made from the 10th of the following month.
• Any request to invoice is prepared on the basis of the situation at a given time.
• Any amount not billed will be automatically carried forward to the following month.

How can I be sure that my sales are being accurately accounted for?

Hi-media Performance runs permanent checks on the tracking codes of its advertisers for the purpose of ensuring top-level reliability.

Occasionally however, problems may arise due to:

• technical problems with the advertiser, the net or Hi-media Performance.
• tracking system malfunction: the advertiser has done an update which has not yet been detected by Hi-media Performance.

If unsure, please contact us immediately, providing us with any information that could help us rapidly solve the problem (date, time, order number, etc.).

What steps does Hi-media Performance take to avoid fraud?

Hi-media is entitled to suspend and/or terminate the Webmaster's user account on the Hi-media Performance platform if these General Conditions of Use are respected, and depending on the gravity of the breach.

An e-mail is sent to any Webmasters whose user account is suspended, outlining the reasons for this suspension; in this way, the Webmaster can remedy the situation as soon as possible.

In the event of a Webmaster's user account being suspended, the Webmaster will no longer be able to use the functionalities of the Hi-media Performance platform (including payment functionalities, also suspended) until the Webmaster has remedied the situation.

If the Webmaster's user account has been suspended because of fraud, Hi-media will be entitled to cancel any profits associated with the campaign where the fraud was detected. Moreover, prior to reactivating the Webmaster's user account, Hi-media will be entitled to seek that the Webmaster reimburse any money fraudulently received.

Terminating a Webmaster's user account means that these General Conditions of Use have been seriously violated. Alternatively, a cancellation can be the consequence of a second suspension of a Webmaster's user account.

Wherever the Webmaster's user account has been terminated, the Webmaster will no longer be able to use the functionalities of the Hi-media Performance platform, from which the Webmaster is definitively excluded. Hi-media then calculates any amount due to the Webmaster, using any means at Hi-media's discretion, and definitively terminates this contract.

If the Webmaster's user account has been terminated because of fraud, Hi-media will be entitled to cancel any profits associated with the campaign where the fraud was detected. Moreover, Hi-media will be entitled to seek that the Webmaster reimburse any money fraudulently received.

How can I optimise profits?

• The content of your site should be of real interest to users.
• Use the system for the automatic management of ad placement to optimise the rate of return on your page impressions, and to minimize the time spent managing campaigns.
• Focus on search engine optimisation for your site. Sites with more content and/or pages get a higher ranking, leading to more visitors.

I have several sites; what should I do?

You can register as many sites as you want; each one will be checked by our affiliate managers.

What distribution practices are unauthorized?

(a) The Webmaster commits not to use the Hi-media Performance platform to the benefit of third parties, in particular an Internet site of which the Webmaster is not the publisher.

(b) The Webmaster commits not to use fraudulent means to increase the visitor count or page view count of his Internet site. In particular, he commits not to falsify distribution statistics for the Hi-media Performance platform.

(c) The Webmaster should not engage in any of the following:

artificially boost, or attempt to boost, the results of an advertising campaign by generating clicks, ad impressions, registrations or chain selling;

influence, or attempt to influence, the results of an advertising campaign by posting messages to encourage visitors to go its Internet site, or to third-party Internet sites in order to view, make clicks, register or realize sales in relation to the campaign in question;

influence, or attempt to influence, the results of an advertising campaign by means of automated processes to meet the campaign's remuneration criteria.

influence, or attempt to influence, the results of an advertising campaign by installing browsing procedures, on its Internet site, forcing users to perform a number of actions related to the campaign before they can access pages they request;

influence, or attempt to influence, the results of an advertising campaign by installing technical procedures for the purpose of highlighting the campaign on the Webmaster's Internet site (e.g., a campaign transformed into, or run as, a pop-up message).

(d) The Webmaster commits to using the Hi-media Performance platform in a loyal matter under all circumstances.

Should I declare my profits to the tax authorities?

By accepting the General Conditions of Use for the Hi-media Performance platform, you commit to completing, at your own expense and under your sole responsibility, all administrative formalities concerning you (including as regards the tax authorities). If in doubt, we suggest you contact your tax services (corporate, association or personal).
